I liked Empire of the Vampire at first, and the whole second half made me like it a hell of a lot more. Kristoff’s writing, the flawed characters, and the villains gave me plenty to enjoy.
Where to begin
Start with Empire of the Vampire, then read Empire of the Damned and Empire of the Dawn. Follow that order through the trilogy.
