Visitor counter & your privacy
A private counter helps Cory understand which pages readers visit. It records page paths, visit times, and the referring website’s hostname when available. A random first-party cookie groups page loads into a visit and expires after 30 minutes without a recorded page load. The counter does not store your IP address, name, email address, search terms, or the full referring URL, and does not use browser fingerprinting.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests are respected. You can also exclude this browser below; that preference is remembered for a year, unless you clear cookies. Excluding removes the current session from totals as well as stopping future counting on this browser.

Your words & your privacy
Book ratings need no account and show a shared average and count. A random first-party browser cookie remembers your rating; changing it replaces your previous vote. We do not use browser fingerprinting. Clearing cookies or using another browser may allow another rating.
Bookbound Realm reader accounts use Supabase authentication and email sign-in codes delivered through Resend. Your account email is used privately for authentication and is not displayed publicly. Discussions show your chosen display name, which is not a verified identity. Browser storage remembers your reader session until you sign out or clear it. Existing posts keep the name used when they were written.
Common Room posts and review comments are public. Contact messages and reply email addresses remain private to the site owner. Private owner email alerts may include the name, email, subject, and message excerpt intentionally submitted through Contact Cory. Public discussion alerts use display names, never reader account email addresses. Notification addresses and preferences are private owner settings.
Later-volume reviews can refer to earlier events. Keep spoilers out of discussion titles and mark them in your post.
